I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Drive was great! Why am I surprised? Because this was the most over hyped movie since Scott Pilgram vs. The World. No one ever said “Drive is really good.” They said “Drive is the greatest movie ever made…and there will never be another movie better than Drive…ever”
But Drive is solid enough to hold its own and stand up to the hype. It has a beautiful tone, incredible cinematography and direction. I was a fan of Bronson and think Mr. Refn is going to be a force for years to come. And Gosling is simply the man, you know?
